Happy Halloween

Now that Halloween is over all that is left are two rotting pumpkins and a whack of treats to eat. There will be some arguments I am sure as the kids ask over and over to have a treat from their bag. Mommy will say not right now but as soon as they are out of sight I will help myself. Bad mommy! I need the treats probably less than they do. The day started with Avery going to playschool as a princess (what else?) and the costume stayed on the whole day. Delaney's class had a dress up party for the afternoon and she had decided on the tinkerbell costume which also stayed on for the rest of the day. Brooklyn was a unicorn and at first when I tried to get her in it there was a protest. That was until Avery tried it on and of course Brooklyn was not happy about that and was more than willing to try it on. Now getting it off was the problem. About 15 min before we were to leave the girls decided to change costumes. Delaney, now outfitted with her last years bunny suit, and Avery became tinkerbell fairy. Every year the kids trick or treat with Cory, Rachel and Amy and this year was no different. We like to get an early start so by 5:30 we were ready to go. Brooklyn and Amy sat in strollers, with treat bags of course, (mommy's payoff) and after watching the 4 older kids go to each door, Brooklyn would jump out of the stroller and go to the doors and then ride to the next house. A good time was had by all and by the time we were home and had the kids into bed it was 8:00. We didn't hand out any candy thus we still have that to eat too! Yeh!

Next year we'll have to venture to Trout Creek. Sounds like the place to get all the sugar you could ever ask for :)
